IBPS Specialist Officers Selection Process 2015-16, IBPS Recruitment Process
IBPS conducts a common recruitment process for selection of specialist officers in various participating banks. The exam is conducted once every year usually in February-march for which registrations are accepted in November-December. Candidates, who want to apply for or are preparing for IBPS SO recruitment exam, must be familiar with the the selection process.

IBPS Specialist officers recruitment process involves following two steps
- Common Written Examination
- Common Interview
Common Written Examination
A common online examination is conducted as the first step of SO recruitment process for all applicants. The exam includes an online paper of 200 marks that includes 50 questions each from 4 subjects.
Candidates, who successfully clear the total cut off as well as individual subject-wise cut off in the online examination, are them called for a common interview round that is conducted by the Participating Organisations in co-ordination with IBPS.
Interview marks: 100
Interview cut-off: 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates)
A candidate must clear both online examination and interview rounds separately in order to be considered for appointment.
Candidates shortlisted after online exam and interview are provisionally allotted to one of the participating bank/ organization based on their overall IBPS SO score.
