Nationality

Must be a citizens of India

OR A subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962

OR A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam

Education

  1. Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s (mandatory). Knowledge of Computer (Desirable)
  2. Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent (Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy). Proficiency in the local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s (mandatory). Knowledge of Computer (Desirable)
  3. Officer Scale-II
    1. General Banking Officer: Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with min 50% marks. Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
    2. Specialist Officers
      1. IT Officer: Degree from a recognised University in Electronics /Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. 1-year experience in relevant field.
      2. CA: Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. AND 1-year experience as a Chartered Accountant.
      3. Law Officer: Degree from a recognised University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. AND 2 years experience as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period of not less than two years.
      4. Treasury Manager: Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a recognized university/ institution. AND 1-year experience in relevant field.
      5. Marketing Officer: MBA in Marketing from a recognized university with 1-year experience.
      6. Agricultural Officer: Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with 2 years experience.
  4. Officer Scale-III: Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (Preference will be given to the candidates having degree/diploma in
    Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy) with Min. 5 years experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

Age Limit

  • Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 18 to 28 years as on 01.07.2017 (should not have been born earlier than 02.07.1989 and later than 01.07.1999 (both dates inclusive))
  • Officer Scale-I: 18 to 30 years as on 02.07.2017 (should not have been born earlier than 03.07.1987 and later than 30.06.1999 (both dates inclusive))
  • Officer Scale-II: 21 to 32 years as on 02.07.2017 (should not have been born earlier than 03.07.1985 and later than 30.06.1996 (both dates inclusive))
  • Officer Scale-III: 21 to 40 years as on 02.07.2017 (should not have been born earlier than 03.07.1977 and later than 30.06.1996 (both dates inclusive))

Age Relaxation: up to 5 years for SC/ ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons With Disability (PWD), no relaxation for OBC creamy layer candidates.

* Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at the time of Interview conducted with the help of the designated Nodal RRB for each State / UT, co-ordinated by IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority if shortlisted for interview.
